The dog’s digestive tract is shorter than the herbivores, the dog’s stomach hydrochloric acid levels in domestic animals living in the first place, coupled with strong absorptive capacity of the intestinal wall thickness, so easy and suitable for food to digest meat.

The dog is a canine, not to chew when eating, if you want the best fed crude fiber of vegetables chopped or cooked vegetables. So as to ensure that food is well absorbed.

Dogs like to chew. This is the original ecology of the habit of biting their prey left. When feeding, we should always give it time to time some dog bones (dog chews, bones can not be fed poultry, pork, beef’s also best not to feed, or they may choke), to facilitate use molar.

Beautiful dog has a unique self-defense capability, after eating poisonous foods, can cause vomiting and the toxic food spit it out.

Only very few litters of puppies and dogs of those breeds registered by the AKC in 2008, so that each of them a rare breed. Otter Hounds and the buzzards are both very old breed known in England as the first year. All recorded with the AKC for 100 years or more. These breeds may be threatened with extinction. Glen of Imaal Terrier Irish and is registered with the AKC in 2004, although Ireland is over 100 years is known.

Very few American and English Foxhounds registered with the AKC, but you will notice that packs of dogs are now in a hunt of the country. Breeding and pedigree are usually required by hunters may be more Foxhounds in the United States, as the index AKC would suspect.

Each of the top-5-games, is a rare breed AKC because of their characteristics, but only rarely in the United States, the United Kennel Club registers more than 300 breeds, and many are quite rare. These games just to see if a small or specialized prosecution.

The American Kennel Club also operates several group and a foundation Listing Service. The objective of the Foundation Stock Service is developing a family tree for breeders of dogs (often from foreign sources), to give enough attention to the United States to race, class, Misc. At this stage, the match can begin to participate in dog events. These are steps towards a recognized breed by the American Kennel Club. Many breeds are good in other parts of the world knows that the United States come through the Foundation Stock Service and the miscellaneous category. Because race has such a small number at the beginning, this race would be rare , when farmers began importing and breeding of dogs in the United States

In 2010, the AKC welcomes the Bluetick Coonhound, the Boykin Spaniel and the Redbone Coonhound as new breeds. These events may be only temporary unusual interest in people and start the registration of dogs. However, the games are already popular in parts of the United States so they can quickly become very popular with the tribes AKC.

The American Rare Breed Association is to help farmers, introducing and developing countries, races, consisting mainly of races in other parts of the world. Many of these tribes already Cynologique International Federation, a record that exists outside the United States, but not recognized by the U.S. recorded record.
Central Asian Ovtcharka Dog Breed And Introduction

Just because you live in the city doesn’t mean you can’t have some canine companionship. You do have to make sure you pick a dog breed that will fit in with your city life though. Follow my guidelines below and you’re sure to pick a winner.

The very first thing you need to consider is your own level of activity. If you’re very active you can easily get a high energy dog like Labrador retriever or even a border collie. Provided you take your pooch along when you go biking, walking, swimming, whatever. Are you more laid back? Like to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with your friends or a restaurant visit? Then you’ll want to pick a dog breed that can lie quietly at your feet for a couple of hours.

Secondly, after choosing the right dog breed, you’ll want to look at each individual dog’s temperament. I recommend staying away from overly shy dogs unless you have some experience on how to socialize a puppy properly. Very shy dogs are usually quite fearful. Introducing them to all the sounds, smells and movements of city life can be quite challenging.

Something else to take into consideration are your neighbours. Getting a guard dog might make you feel safe, but your neighbours probably won’t appreciate a barking concert every time someone passes your door or window. On the same note, you’ll want to make sure your pooch can stay home alone without howling until you come back from work, lunch or your latest shopping spree.

Also known as American Cocker Spaniel, Cocker Spaniel has a sturdy, compact body and a silky, flat or wavy coat which make it one of the most popular dogs in USA. It is one of the Spaniel type breeds, similar to the English Cocker Spaniel, and was originally bred as a gun dog for hunting small game, especially birds. The word cocker is commonly held to stem from their use to hunt woodcock in England. The first Cocker Spaniel registered in the United States AKC was “Captain” in 1878. Not until 1946, English Cocker Spaniel and the American Cocker Spaniel were recognized by the American Kennel Club as separate breeds.

Cocker Spaniel is a dog capable of considerable speed, combined with great endurance. Its head is chiseled with an abrupt stop. The muzzle is wide, deep and broad with a square jaw. The upper lip hangs down, covering the lower jaw completely. The teeth are strong and should meet in a scissors bite. The nose is always black on black dogs, but may be brown on other dogs. The eyes are round, set on so they look straightforward. The eye rims are slightly oval. The body is compact, with a short back. The topline should slope gently downwards from front to back. The front legs are straight, with good bone. He stands well up at the shoulder on straight forelegs with a topline sloping slightly toward strong, moderately bent, muscular quarters. Cocker Spaniels can be black, black with tan points, parti-colored or any solid color other than black.

Cocker Spaniel are intelligent, gentle dogs that thrive as part of a family. Cheerful, sweet, and sensitive, it is respectful of its master’s authority without much challenge. They are mostly easy to train and get along well with other animals. But they do not do well with rough or harsh training. Cockers are the smallest of the spaniels and the Sporting Group, but they are still an active Sporting breed that needs daily exercise. They understand their place is under humans, are good with children. Overall, it is an excellent bird and small-game hunter, great companion, good with children and all around friendly, lively dog.

According the report of AKC, Clumber Spaniel Dog was originated and developed in 18th-century France with ancestors such as the Basset Hound and early Alpine Spaniel. It is believed that this breed was brought to England by one of the dukes of Noailles in 1760s. The name is took from Clumber Park and that the Duke of Newcastle’s gamekeeper, William Mansell, is credited with its development and improvement. The breed was said to have arrived in Canada in 1848 and made its way into the United States where it was recognized by the AKC in 1883.

Appearing dignified and pensive, Clumber Spaniel has s heavy brow, deep chest, straight forelegs, powerful hindquarters, massive bone and good feet. It has a broad square head, wide across the top with a brownish or flesh colored nose. It has a deep stop and well developed lips. The muzzle is wide for good retrieving. The flews hang over the lower jaw. The eyes are dark amber and are slightly deep set, ears are large in the shape of vine leaves, hanging forward, and well covered with hair. The neck is thick, heavy, and feathered at the throat, and the tail is short-fringed. Dewclaw removal is optional. Carried level with the back, shoulders are robust and muscular. Limbs are short, straight and strong-boned. Its hair is thick, straight and silky in pure white with lemon or orange markings.

Although not as speedy as other sporting dogs, Clumber Spaniel will work all day, trotting along in his signature slow, rolling gait. It is a gentle, loyal and affectionate dog which responds best to positive training. He possesses an intrinsic desire to please. An intelligent and independent thinker, he displays determination and a strong sense of purpose while at work. A dog of dignity, the Clumber Spaniel may sometimes seem aloof with people unknown to him, but in time he will display his playful and loving nature. Clumbers are usually trustworthy with children of the family. Socialize them well the help them adjust to making friends with strangers. This breed is a gentle person’s dog; they do not take well to heavy-handed discipline. Puppies are especially curious and inventive.

Talking about Chinook dog, there is a name must mentioned that is Arthur Treadwell Walden of Wonalancet, New Hampshire. He was successed in breeding Chinook dog breeds in 1917. Chinook derived from a crossbreeding of husky stock from the Peary North Pole expedition with a large, tawny Mastiff-like male. Chinook was an outstanding lead dog, and was very popular in New Hampshire where he and his team accomplished many sledding feats. Walden is credited with bringing the sport of sled dog racing into the New Hampshire area and creating the New England Sled Dog Club in 1924, which is still operating today. The Chinook is a very rare breed. The Guinness Book of World Records listed the Chinook as the world’s rarest dog in 1966 when only 125 existed. The Chinook used to be an outstanding sled dog; but in the 1980s the breed was almost extinct, with only 12 breedable dogs left in the world. Their sled drive is greatly reduced. By 1981 only eleven breedable Chinooks survived. Breeders in Maine, Ohio and California divided the remaining stock and managed to save the type from extinction. The Chinook obtained registered status with the United Kennel Club in 1991; current numbers of registered animals are around 800.

What do Chinook look like? Chinook is balanced and muscular.Black markings on the inside corners of the eyes are preferred. Dark tawny to black markings on the ears and muzzle are preferred. Guard hairs on the tail may be black. No white markings are allowed. Buff markings on the cheeks, muzzle, throat, chest, breeches, toes and underside are acceptable.” The UKC standard faults any color other than tawny and disqualifies Albinism. Other proposed standards state that the medium-length double coat is “tawny” in color, with darker shadings on muzzle and ears; white dogs are not allowed, nor are other colors. Eyes are brown to amber in color. Ear carriage is variable, but dropped is preferred and the head more strongly rectangular than other sleddog breeds. The tail is a well-furred saber and not the usual brush or plume of Arctic breeds. They have a double coat of medium length hair. The undercoat is thick, soft, and downy in texture. The outer coat is coarse and the hair lies close to the body. Less dense coats are normal in very warm climates.

Chinook is famous for its calm and loyal. It is not aggressive with other dogs because it has been bred to work as part of a team. It will usually also do quite well with other family pets. This breed may occasionally be reserved around strangers, especially if it is in unfamiliar surroundings. The Chinook is especially good with children within the family and will even tolerate children from outside the family unit. It is important to treat this breed as part of the family – it will want to accompany you everywhere, and therefore, should not be an outside pet. The intelligent Chinook can be easily trained using positive reinforcement techniques, but it will not respond well to other, more negative, training tactics. A lot of space is not a requirement, but you do need to take them for daily walks where they are made to heel beside or behind you, never in front as the pack leader goes first.

Chinese Shar Pei breed comes from the Guangdong province of China. It was present very long time ago even in the Han Dynasty (206BC). They were kept as a general-purpose farm dog in the Chinese countryside, used for hunting, protecting & herding stock and guarding the home and family. Because of their strong body, they were used in dogs fighting. During that time the Shar-Pei was bred for intelligence, strength and scowling face. The loose skin and extremely prickly coat were developed to aid the dog in fighting, making the Shar-Pei difficult for the opponent to grab and hold on to. During the Communist Revolution, dogs were rescued by a Hong Kong business man named Matgo Law, who appealed to Americans in 1973 though a dog magazine to save the breed. Around 200 Shar-Peis were smuggled into America. The current American Shar Pei population stems mainly from these original 200.

“Shar-Pei” means sandy coat which should be offstanding and harsh. With small triangular ears, a muzzle shaped like that of a hippopotamus and a high-set tail, Shar Pei is special. The loose skin and wrinkles covering the head, neck and body are superabundant in puppies but these features may be limited to the head, neck and withers in the adult. There are three coat varieties: horse-coat and brush-coat and a rare bear-coat.The Horse Coat is generally thought to be more active and predisposed to dominant behaviour than the Brush Coat. The brush-coated variety have slightly longer hair and a smoother feel to them. The Brush Coat is generally considered to be more of a ‘couch potato’ than the Horse Coat.Bear Coat can occur in any litter and is much longer than the Brush and Horse Coat, so much so, in most cases you can’t see the famous wrinkles.

Chinese Shar Pei is a dog that is loyal and loving to its family while being very protective and independent. Shar Pei is extremely devoted, loyal and affectionate to its family, and is amenable to accepting strangers given time and proper introduction at a young age. If poorly socialized or trained, it can become especially territorial and aggressive. Even friendly and well-socialized individuals will retain the breed’s watch dog proclivities (such as barking at strangers). It is a largely silent breed, barking only when playing or when worried. They are bright and learn quickly, but early training and socialization are important, as is daily exercise. Shar-Pei are clean dogs that require little more grooming than an occasional bath, regular ear cleaning and toe nail clipping.

Long long time ago, it was believed that Chinese Foo dog was the mascot and could bring good luck. In fact, Fu dogs were very popular among nobilty. These dogs originated from China and was bred originally for guarding Buddhist temples over 3,000 years ago. It’s origins can be dated back to Antiquity. It now has three sizes, however this page deals only with the large Chinese Foo Dog. The naming of this dog is highly significant to the Buddhist religion. The Chinese Foo resembles the looks of the lion which is a sacred animal to Buddhists. The Chinese word for Buddha is Fo, which led to the original name – the Dog of Fo. Dog Name Facts and Dog Names:The Chinese Foo is also known by the other names of the Sacred Dog of Sinkiang, the Chinese Choo Hunting Dog, the Chinese Temple Forest Dog, the Chinese Celestial Dog and the Chinese Dragon Dog. This dog is classified as one of the Working Dog Group which we go on to describe in detail in the section at the bottom of this page. The Chinese Foo is not currently Registered by the AKC and is therefore in the category of dogs we have termed termed Unrecognised & Rare Breeds.

Look at the picture of Chinese Food Dog, you will find why it is a symbol of energy and value. It is a massive breed with strong features. Its large and rounded head are its signature characteristic. The ears are short and set high on the head and rounded at the tip. The nose and the area surrounding are dark. The eyes are very small. Its double coat features a topcoat that is coarse and thick and an undercoat that is much softer and smoother. The coat naturally repels water. The tail is set high and curls over the side of the back. Its body is compact with muscular front and hind legs. The chest is broad and deep. There are three types of Chinese Foo Dogs in height: toy, miniature and standard. The three divisions of standard in weight are: small, medium, and large. The standard are over 15 inches, the miniature 10 – 15 inches, and the toy are less than 10 inches tall.

Chinese Foo Dogs are medium sized dogs, bulky and used for working. They are one of the spitz-type breeds, originally used to pull sleds, herd, and to guard. They are bold, energetic and make an excellent watch dog and guardian dog. They learn quickly, and are very intelligent. They tend to be good with children as well. The breed is full of energy and treats family members with affection. It was developed for hunting purposes and exhibits companion behavior. It responds well to training and is easily socialized. It is playful and does well with children. It is an even-tempered breed, but it will not back down when confronted. It is brave and will effectively guard its family property. Chinese Foo Dogs were often kept to guard palaces, sacred places and homes. They were popular in China for a time, and are thought to possibly be the link between the Chinese wolf and the Chow Chow. Hardy, alert and a courageous, the Chinese Foo Dog is excellent for a family needing a loving, working companion.
