Puppy Training By Yourself

Many household like to keep a puppy when they move to a new house. Because they think the puppy is cute and they want to grow up with it.After adopting a puppy , you should train it first. The sooner you begin the house training process, the less damage your carpets and furnishings will suffer! Here I will share some tips on puppy house training

First of all, you need a crate which will be your best tool to begin the house training. Keep your dog in the crate for short periods of time, taking him out to the yard at regular intervals to get him to eliminate. If he does, lavish him with praise and giver him a reward. if he doesn’t, take him back to the crate. Continue with this till you can see a pattern emerging. Over a period of days, your dog’s toilet schedule will become clear. Being confined to the crate will help your dog learn to retain his urine and feces for longer periods of time. It is a long time to train dogs

Always remember to reward any elimination. Don’t punish any accident, however. All dogs have accidents along the way, and swatting his head with a newspaper or rubbing his nose in his own mess only makes your dog frightened to eliminate in your presence, which brings you back to square one, as far as potty training is concerned.

The key to successful house training is consistency and patience. Never scold or punish your puppy for mistakes and accidents. The older your pup gets, the more he will be able to control his bladder and bowels. Eventually your pup will have enough control that he will be able to “hold it” for longer and longer periods of time. Let your puppy do this on his own time. When training is rushed, problems usually develop. Don’t forget, most puppies are not reliably house trained until they are at least 6 months old.
